Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. Information We Collect
Thirst Trap may store hydration logs, goals, unit preferences, reminder settings, selected characters, unlock state, app theme, language, birthday or profile preferences you provide, notification interactions, widget or Live Activity state, purchase entitlement status, support messages, diagnostics, and app usage events. Some data stays on your device; some may sync through Apple services or supporting vendors described below.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to run the app, calculate hydration progress, schedule reminders, personalize character experiences, restore purchases, sync settings, provide widgets and notifications, respond to support requests, debug crashes, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
3. HealthKit and Sensitive Data
If you grant permission, Thirst Trap may read or write dietary water and related workout-triggered hydration context through HealthKit. HealthKit access is optional and controlled in iOS Settings. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, sell it, or share it with data brokers.
4. iCloud and Device Sync
When iCloud is available, the app may use CloudKit and iCloud key-value storage to sync app data across your devices. Apple processes that data under your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Account reset, delete, restore, and export tools in Settings are provided to help you manage local and synced app data.
5. Purchases
Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may receive product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction metadata, and anonymous app user identifiers so the app can unlock purchased content and restore access across devices.
6. Analytics and Diagnostics
We may use privacy-conscious analytics and crash reporting, including TelemetryDeck and Sentry, to understand app stability and feature usage. Diagnostic events can include device model, OS version, app version, locale, subscription status, error messages, and non-sensitive interaction events. We do not use these tools to sell personal data or run third-party advertising.
7. AI and Generated Content
The app uses on-device intelligence where possible and may use a privacy-preserving proxy for remote AI features. Prompt content, feature context, device authentication data, and generated responses may be processed to provide the requested feature, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures. Avoid entering highly sensitive personal information into AI features.
8. Location, Weather, Notifications, and Widgets
If you enable location or weather-sensitive reminders, the app may use location-derived weather context to adjust reminders. Local notifications, widgets, and Live Activities may store compact snapshots in an App Group container so iOS can display current hydration state outside the main app.
9. Sharing Information
We share information only with service providers needed to operate the app, with Apple and payment processors for purchases, when you ask us to provide support, when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell your personal information.
10. Retention and Choices
We keep app data for as long as needed to provide the app, sync your account, comply with obligations, or resolve disputes. You can change permissions in iOS Settings, manage notifications in the app, export data from Settings, delete local app data, or request support at support@thirsttrap.wtf.
11. Children
Thirst Trap is not directed to children. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact support@thirsttrap.wtf so we can review and delete it where required.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including platform security features, local storage controls, and authenticated service requests. No app or network service can guarantee perfect security.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, vendors, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be available in the app or on the website, and the Last updated date will change.
14. Contact
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@thirsttrap.wtf.
